I made a separte wire and jumped the start and ran the compressor, it works fine. In the heat mode the heat comes on but does not kick off at any temperature. In the cool mode the compressor does not come on. I am suspecting the main pc board but know of no way to test this board and it costs about $ 130.00I made a separte wire and jumped the start and ran the compressor, it works fine. Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heatingthe most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glowssometimes it is still not working properly.
if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....
If you have an electric dryer, you can have many differentthings that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.
check outthis electric no heat tip...
Look at the wires that go to the compressor and make sure they are not burned off. Inspect the capacitor tops for swelling and loose or burnt wiring. Also check the connections coming from the controls. May have a wiring problem or even a bad compressor. How old is the unit?
pull out the racks and remove the bottom floor of the oven, turn it on bake,if the ignitor doesn't glow most likely it's bad,if it does glow and it doesn't ignite within 40 to 60 seconds the ignitor is bad.even though it glows doesn't mean it's good,it works by amps.it takes 3.2 amps.for a flat ignitor to open the gas valve and 2.5 amps for a round ignitor to open the gas valve.
Sounds like you are over heating the compressor, try cleaning the out door unit coil. Take a hose and blow water through it, be carefull not to bend the fins.
compressor shuts down air is cool but unit does not stay long enough to cool lower the thermostat down little lower if the compressor starts up then bad thermostat
