Hello,
My system is not detecting Broadcom 802.11 wireless adapter in my HP Pavillion dv7-1137US Entertainment Notebook PC series laptop. I am running windows vista ultimate and it was working
great till I installed SP1. It's no where and It's not even listed as
Unknown Device. I tried HP recovery manager to reinstall hardware
drivers but it didn't help. I tried to add it using Add new hardware
wizard but I didn't see the device in list. I did try to use the HP
wireless assistant but it won't enable and again it is listed. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance.

LOL, not stupid at all, yes i did indeed try that but it turns out, i needed to download a new driver. Thank you for all the help.
yep, my sentiments exactly!
how do i enable my wireless card on my ispiron 8200. I accidently pulled it out with out using the disconnet hardware prompt. Now the wireless no longer works and the safely remove hardware prompt is no longer displays.
this will sound stupid but below the blue light is a button for your wifi have you tried to click on it to verify it is turned on, first? We have to start simple since it's listed and should be running we have to make sure it's turned on also. lol
Ok, Windows messed you up, but have you updated since the SP1 install? It may find that you have hardware with no drivers and provide what you need. Also, use the service tag/serial number of your machine on the HP support site to see if there are updated drivers for Vista SP1.
