Go ahead and create a new user account, and make sure you give it a name like MAIN or ADMIN for administrative purposes.
Make the other account the administrator by going to: START, CONTROL PANEL, USER ACCOUNTS AND FAMILY SAFETY, USER ACCOUNTS. Then select to make it the administrator
Log off your user account, and go to the new administrator account, then delete the old account. After that you create another user name with the same name as the one you deleted so as to get a fresh start.
Install whatever programs were not allowed to be installed on the old administrator account because of error messages and other flaws that kept repeating themselves on the old user account. Voila! You have now bypassed the errors that keep you from having a Laptop with no errors on your software programs.
A) The administrator is the owner of the laptop, or a designated individual. The school has such a person designated, and it isn't you. That person has the administrative rights in adding, or replacing software, and possibly hardware.
B) IF you should by chance break into the laptop, and change ANY administrative settings, the school will find out. Depends on their policy as to what they wish to do.
Most of the time it is remove the laptop from the student - FOREVER, and possibly school set punishment.
Hi Friend,
As you have mentioned that the laptop is a school laptop, it might be possible that the school administrator has blocked that website. Unfortunately, without the administrator permission you can not access the facebook from the school laptop.
Hi, if its windows xp, when you switch on the pc keep press f8 when menu appears go into safe mode, once in safe mode, select administrator if it lets you in there goto control panel, user accounts and remove password on other accounts,
if it comes up password for administrator its locked, a system restore wont remove the password.
but there is software for like £5 in ebay that removes it by booting from the cd..
