64 bit vs. 32 bit ipod

When I purchased my IPOD classic i was using a 64 bit PC. I recently purchased a 32 bit pc and thought, great...now the issues with th 64 bit PC are gone as far as my ipod is concerned. WRONGO! Itunes now does not recognize my IPOD even though the PC itself does. It gives me an error stating that itunes did not load the required software to communicate with my IPOD correctly. Everything else in ITUNES works fine. I've gone through the Apple support recommendations with no success. Apple Support was abominable (I believe they just read their own website and have no direct knowledge). I'm thinking that once the ipod used itunes in the 64 bit envvironment, it cannot adjust back to itunes in the 32 bit environment. Any thoughts on fixing this?

The link appears to be no longer valid. The fix would make sense but unable to access that program through the apple website.

Is notpower

font.f1 {font: 12.0px Helvetica} Thanks for asking your question with Fixya Support. I will be glad to assist you.

What you need to do first, is make sure your iPod Classic is connecting correctly to your PC or via the connection to a power source to see if the iPod is getting power.

Here is a great support article directly from Apple Support addressing the no power issue you are experiencing with your iPod.

iPod is not charging

I hope this helps.

I am trying to install AutoCAD 2004 on my new computer with windows 7 and wont install. Any ideas?

AutoCAD 2004 and Windows 7 are NOT compatible. You will need to upgrade to AutoCAD 2010 either 32-bit or 64-bit. Even with the upgrade, there are known limitation issues.

No sound from my 30GB ipod in the car and Bose sound dock

It sounds like an issue with the internal motherboard and possibly the audio jack. I'd reccomend taking it into a local apple store to have them fix it or contacting them via their support website here. Also you may want to consider their price quotes vs purchasing a new one when you talk to them.

Sorry, no, you cannot 'convert' the 64 bit system to the 32 bit one. You
have a few options. All of them are coloured by the fact that the OEM
license gives you the right to use just the version you originally
received.

1. Remove the 64 bit version and install the 32 bit. To do this, you
might be able to arrange with the original source to get the 32 bit OEM
version. Alternate, purchase the 32 bit license of the retail version.

If the 64 bit version runs correctly (all the devices/peripherals work
correctly) and the issue is program compatibility:
2. Install the 32 bit in a dual boot arrangement. A Google search will
yield links to various sites with the instructions for doing that. Do
note that you should get the method for installing the 32 bit after the
64 bit
system.

Since you have an OEM version, your first point of contact would be
whoever you got it.

You're going to have to tell me a bit more to know what the problem is. Are you talking about iTunes? Does your PC see the iPod at all? Is the iPod operating normally otherwise? Please give as much detail as possible so that I can help.
