For this answer I'll be assuming you're running Windows Vista or newer, please let me know if you're using something else.
- Click the Windows icon.
- Type in "Control Panel" and press enter.
- Find the "Programs" section.
- Underneath the "Programs" section click "Uninstall a program"
- Find the Kaspersky Anti-Virus program.
- Right click it and click Uninstall
- Continue through the prompts.
Now we're through uninstalling the program its self. Now we'll be installing the newer version.

- Open the file once it is done downloading.
- Follow through the prompts of the program and enter your product key if needed.
