Whenever I try to play a You TUbe video it stops and starts never plays thru completely
Update your Adobe flash player software to the latest version:

If that doesn't fix it you might have some viruses and malware.
Start
your PC and press F8 several times until the boot menu comes up. Then
select "Safe Mode with Networking". Now get some or ALL of the FREE
programs below.
Download, Install and Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

When Installing choose the non-pro version.
Download, Unzip, Install and Run TDSSKiller:

Download, Install and Run Super Anti-Spyware:

If you have an outdated Anti-virus program then Download, Install and Run Avira Anti-Virus:

Make sure to select ALL of the "threat categories" when you install or configure Avira...
You should be in pretty good shape if you run and install all of these programs.

When a video downloads to your computer it is done in small bits according to your connection speed -- this is called buffering. If you notice, a bar at the bottom of the video window moves bit by bit between each of the little "play" episodes --you can tell how far it has gone by how far the bar moves to the right. When it pauses in-between it is downloading the next portion. Depending on your connection speed and the length of the video it can take lots of stops and starts to DL the whole video. When it finishes the bar has reached the end, or if it is done the screen will say "Replay". Sometimes there is a little window that tells you how long the video is and also how many minutes you have so far DLed.

In the beginning try replacing or updating your driver software for your audio device. If this does not work out try replacing your speakers. If this does not work out either than you have replace the sound card.
If all other Videos sound is not distorted than may be the video that you are trying to watch from YouTube and bbc player are probably from the same source

This problem, i.e, the videos keep stopping and starting is usually due to a slow internet connection.
To resolve this issue, kindly let the video download completely before playing the video.
To do this, click the "Pause" button (shown by red arrow in the attached image) on the video bar and let the pink colored bar (shown by green arrow) fill up entirely.
When the pink bar fills up completely, click the "Play" button. (See below image)
Now the video playback will be smooth and without any breaks.
