Screen doesn't light up

I have replaced 4 batteries in order to get the Leapser2 to start (screen to light up). It doesn't light up.

I am using new Duracell batteries that expire in 2018. I have tried holding down the on button and help button at the same time. After a while, I see a very dim screen that stays on for maybe 2 seconds and then it fades away.

How to replace a cracked screen

Replacing a damaged laptop LCD screen can bring your laptop back to life.

You'll be able to access files you thought were lost and use the laptop just as you did before. And it's not as difficult as you might think.

Turn off the power, unplug the battery and all cables.

Eject the installed battery if you have one.

This will protect you against electric shock.

Find the small, round rubber screw covers and pry them off.

This will expose the small screws holding the LCD screen frame in place.

Depending on your laptop, these covers might be made of some other type of material.

Remove the frame by gently prying.

Locate the LCD screen's cable and power supply cords. Unplug them and remove any tape holding the screen in place.

Check the identify of the manufacturer on the back or side of the screen.

It may be different than your computer's manufacturer.

Since these screens look so similar, make sure you order an LCD screen that matches your manufacturer's model number, or else the new screen will not fit.

Plug in the new LCD screen, replace any tape holding the screen in place and replace the frame.

Don't pinch any wires as you press the frame back into place.

Screw the frame down and switch on the power to see if it works.

If it does, go ahead and replace the screw covers.

If it doesn't, remove the battery, the screws and the frame.

Check your connections.

If it still doesn't work, call your parts supplier and ask for assistance in getting another replacement LCD screen.

Hope this helps

Replaced batteries now i have black screen

Check the contrast levels (2nd+Down). If that doesn't work take out the 4 aaa's and set the calculator down and wait for a minute or so (for the power to drain from the capacitors) replace them and check if it worked. If that doesn't work, take out all batteries, including the small watch battery and leave it sit for a minute or so, replace them and check. Finally you can try calling Ti-Cares (1-800-842-2737) they're very helpful.

My ti 84 plus does not want to turn on, i thought it was battery problem so, i bought new batteries but i stil have a blank screen.

Could it be that your screen has been dimmed in error. Turn the calculator on & press the 2nd key and then the up arrow. This darkens the screen.

If this doesn't work, try taking out the backup battery. It is located in the battery compartment, behind a little door that you must take off with a phillips screwdriver. Leave it out for about 10 hours. If this doesn't work, try replacing the backup battery.

Hope this helps.

I have a TI84 plus texas instruments i have removed both the batteries in order to reset the unit but it still has not resetted the unit. All I am getting all zeros on the screen

First try removing all four AAA batteries and the small lithium backup battery (above the four AAA batteries). Leave all batteries out for five minutes, then replace them and try to start the calculator. If this doesn't work...

Replace all but 1 AAA battery. Press and hold the "CLEAR" button on the calculator. While holding the "CLEAR" button down, replace the missing AAA battery. While still holding the "CLEAR" button, turn the calculator on. The display should read "RAM Cleared". Release the "CLEAR" button and press again to remove the message.

If that doesn't work, remove 1 AAA battery again. Repeat the preceding instructions with the "DEL" key: With the battery removed, press and hold the "DEL" key. With the "DEL" key held down, replace the battery and turn the calculator on. The screen should say "Waiting... Please install calculator software now." Release the "DEL" key. Download this program onto your computer (from Texas Instruments). Connect the calculator to the computer using the USB cable provided with purchase. Run the TI OSDownloader program and follow the on-screen instructions to re-install the calculator's operating system.
