Question about Kenmore 30 in. 42701 / 42702 / 42709 Electric Cooktop
I have a Kenmore electric cooktop, model 42645/42649/42656. One of the hot surface indicator light is stuck on, even though the burner is off and cool to the touch. We've tried turning the burner off and on, but the indicator light stays on. Any ideas?
Please be more specific. A. What is the "plate cut-out"? B. How does one access it?

The "hot top" indicator lamp is switched by a contact on the plate cut-out. sometimes this cut-out is available as a separate part but often must fit complete plate. by plate i mean the bit that gets hot!
