If the rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

How old is the battery? They last 5 years if looked after and kept charged. It may just be worn out or has a failing cell.
Or you may have something draining the power even though everything is switched. You can test by removing the battery, and charging it up, and then leave it for a week and refit it. It should still have a full charge.
LOL, I didn't know Packard Bell was still making computers. I would think they sold you a bad battery. I've purchased new batteries before that would not charge.
Lead-acid batteries get PERMANENTLY
damaged when you drain them all the way. It would be better for the
batteries if you only used them half way and charge as soon as possible
after each and every run. They like to be kept fully charged at all
times.
Sounds like the batteries are dead. Nine month is reasonable depending on how the batteries are use considering they are lead-acid batteries.

First, it can damage your alternator to try to charge a dead battery by just driving or running the car. The alternator is designed to maintain the state of charge already in a battery. Old (pre mid 60's cars with generators could do that). Have your battery charged and tested. if it checks out, then have the charging system in the car tested. On most newer Jeeps, the regulator is not in the alternator it is part of the computer. If the alternator checks as good but it is not charging, that may be why. Hopefully you just need a new battery.
If it will not stay charged then the battery is defective, these type of batteries have an average life of 2 years, less if they are run dead allot, more if they are left on the charger and kept fully charged between uses.
it might be the battery. cause batteries on cell phones only last for so long [depending on how long you've had it] or you might just have a bad phone. go to the phone company where your phone is from, and tell them about it, and they'll probably give you a new phone.
