PILOT IGNITION WONT TURN OFF, IT KEEPS CLICKING
I have a GE stove top which just started operating the electronic ignition (ticking) and only stops if we give gas to a specific one of the four burners.
On my 4 year old Jenn-air gas Cook top the electronic pilot less ignition in one of the burners makes a very loud clicking noise when the gas is turned of. Also when I remove the burner cap I can see sparks even thou the control nob is in the off position. The model # LGC9536ADS.

My Gaffer and Sattler five burner pilotless ignition has the same 'clicking' sound. My burners still turn on and work. But the minute I turn them off, the clicking sound resumes. Do I need to turn off the gas until I can get a repairman to look at this? Thanks for your help!My Gaffer and Sattler five burner pilotless ignition has the same 'clicking' sound. Close all valves, including the one on the supply tank.
Open valves SLOWLY starting with the tank. Safety valves are built in to prevent escape og gas if vales are broken off.
Turn on ONE burner valve and, depening on the ignition type of your stove, light it. (some have an electric spark generated by a power outlet (120v) and make a sort of poping sound, some have a spark generated by a push button type mechanism.
Once one burner lights, the others should light easily. Sometimes air gets in the lines, and this may have to bleed off, but it should only take a few seconds. -PS, make sure the stove is level, since gas tends to flow to the high spot.
its the safety solenoid. thinks the gas is on, they have them fitted so if the gas is flowing and don't heat the switch it will keep sparking till it does. you will need a gas engineer to sort this out. as there is seals that if you dont put back on right you cancause a gas leak.
Hello
Look to see if you actualy can see the spark when it clicks, if you do see it, then try to adjust the air mixture....Good luck
