My Dometic 2352 refrigerator works fine on AC but doesn't work well on gas. On gas it keeps the feeezer frozen but can barely keep the lower compartment below 50 on a hot day. I have checked the burner and saw no problems. On gas, I can feel hot air coming out of the upper outside vent. Any suggestions?

problem is probably that the evaporator is frozen up preventing circulation of air and the fan is jammed with ice.
remove the back panel inside the freezer. melt off the ice with a hairdryer taking care not to heat up any stats mounted on the pipework.
appliance will now work but this is a temporary repair. you must find out the cause of the ice build-up ie why not defrosting.
for starters, check the defrost heater and the thermal cut-out inseries with it.
let me know how you get on and what you find. make sure the fan is free to rotate.

I had a similar problem where the refrigerator side was not cooling well but I could feel very little air coming through the vent in the top left corner.I blew hot air from a blow driver into the vent for about 1 minute which melted ice that was hanging from the bottom of the vent cover.Cold air started blowing harder thru the vent and cured the problem.
SOURCE: RV refrigerator works fine on AC power. Burns for 30 seconds on gas power then shuts off.
tap on the gas valve with a wrench, not too hard but not too light about 10 times, the valve is probably sticky from not being used,re-light and see what happens.

If your unit is automatically switching from AC to gas for no reason, then you either have a problem with the power supply or the lower control board. On the outside of the fridge, there is a black box located in the lower left corner, this box is the control unit. The control unit senses the incoming power source and automatically switches it to LP if no AC power is available.
Turn the refrigerator on and set it to auto. Let it run until you notice that it switches to gas. Immediately go outside and check for incoming 120VAC power at that lower board. If you have power there, then you have a bad board. If you do not have power, then you have a power supply problem. Check the electrical plug and outlet in the fridge compartment and also make sure that your GFCI's throughout the coach are ok.
Hope this helps,
Jeff

Yes The circulating fan behind the rear freezer wall is waring out. The fan with labor and material cost is around $300.00.
According to the service manual if it doesn't work on AC but works on gas it should be one of the following AC Volts
Fuse
Heating Element
Wiring
Lower Circuit Board
Where you say there was a clicking sound you might also want to make sure the DC volatage is correct.
Here is a downloadable copy of the service manual.
