Often when colors dissapear the reason is a broken cable, between the computer and the monitor, try another cable / monitor to see if the problem is solved, if not, then the problem is either your graphics card or the settings on your computer, it is possible to adjust them so that you don't get red color for example at all.

Oh vintage 386sx? In old graphics cards, there were DIP Switches to configure either to use as monchrome mode or color mode. Did you configure graphics card properly ? Moreover try using mode command to change monochrome to color.

I lost the color red on my computer

It sounds like you may have an issue with your power supply, graphics card, or monitor. You should call on a local professional to help properly diagnose the issue.

Lost red colors on GM4019E desktop..It's not the monitor because I tried 2 monitors that are working and only on this desktop that the color show greenish..When I start the computer the small...

If 2 monitors are showing the same picture, your graphics card is at fault.

First, Click on my computer - device manager - check there are no alarms shown by the devices in your pc especially the graphics card.

If none, RMB click on your graphics card, select properties and choose the "Roll back Driver" option.

Second, look on the Gateway website, follow links for support/downloads check that you have the latest driver for your graphics card. Also note the make, model and type of your graphics card. You'll need these if it has to be replaced.

If both have been completed, then your graphics card probably needs replacing. I'd try ebay first for a good second hand. You could take this opportunity to upgrade, just make sure you buy on with the correct interface.

Please check your connector cable or try with different cable, as this because only red color can be sent to your projector, not for green and blue...
Another thing is check your graphic card configuration setting, under color options make sure that your settings is balanced for all colors...

Please check the VGA cable at both ends to make sure there are no bent pins and fit into the socket properly at both ends. Also try this monitor with other PC also since it can be in the video card.

No color Red, Dell XPS 400, NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE video card

Mike,

I would recommend for you to try different monitor, so that you can isolate the problem.

If same problem occur, try to plug in your video card into another PCI slot in your computer. Cleaning the gold fingers of the video card with a clean cotton cloth might help.

Use a blower to remove some dust on the PCI slot.

Or try inserting the video card in another computer. If you get the same problem on another computer, you need to replace the card.

Good luck!

I have no color red on monitor.

Confirm the "no color red" by testing with another PC. If the same condition check if a color adjustment on the monitor is possible... like maybe a default setting. If the monitor still produces a bit of red it might be possible to edit the color adjustments using the advanced graphics adjustments; or a graphics program that your computers' manufacturer has available on your computer.

If nothing works the monitor may need repairs.

1 monitor is red - 1 is green

its because when you start putting to many moniter spliters the color data gets lost in the link.
