Samsung S750 battery problem

Battery is always low when i replace new batteries in

  • Anonymous Dec 23, 2008

The batteries often go flat although the camera has not been used much at all. I've tried good quality lithium and rechargeable batteries with the same result.

Sometimes it will also freeze with the lens out. I know someone else has reported the same problem, and I think the two problems are linked.

  • Anonymous Dec 27, 2008

I now buy the very best quality batteries, and now only have the camera turned on the absolute minimum of time possible to take a photo and download.

I have also found the camera red hot once ( so that explained how the battery goes flat) what causes it ????????

SOURCE: displays "low battery" always

I had exactly this problem and found the solution - I was using the wrong type of batteries.

You might be doing the same so what you need to do is check to see what mAh the batteries you're using. I was using Energizer rechargables with 1300mAh when the camera stopped working and switched to 2500mAh rechargables (on the advice of a friend) as a last desperate attempt to get it to work and it solved my problem. I got 2500mAh Energizer rechargables and would advise the same but you should go for batteries with at least 2100mAh.

I hope this helps some people :)

SOURCE: Camera shows low Battery and goes off even if u insert a new one

are you using NiMh rechargeable batteries?
If yes, check that they are fully charged. If that doesn't do the trick, sounds like it might be a power circuit issue. Samsung is in Secaucus, NJ
or SamsungUSA on the web

Whenever i try to take a photo with my samsung s750 it just turns off andthe only way i can turn it back on is to remove the batteries and put them back in again plz help

It sounds as if your batteries are too low to function and need to be replaced. Batteries will rebuild a small amount of voltage once taken out of the camera, but once you push the button for a picture, the load is too much, so it shuts down.

Rechargeable batteries only recharge so many times.

You can try to clean the ends of both the batteries if they are exposed, as well as attempting to clean the contact they connect with if you see any corrosion. There's not much to do with plug in type batteries.

A pencil erasor is abrasive enough to remove light dirt/dust, then wipe to remove anything remaining.

Good luck.

Camera stoped working and lens is in the out position, i can't get it on again

Hi,

It seems your camera Lens got stuck in open condition, This will happens due to two reason.

1) Either your camera battery got died or need to be recharged or replace.
or
2) Your camera is malfunctioning and need service (repair).

To resolve the problem. first check battery indicator on your camera, If battery indicator shows battery low, than you need to charge it or you need to replace your battery.

Follow the instruction to retract camera lens:-
1) Turn on your camera.
2) Press the Playback button on the back of your camera. The lens on your camera should retract.

If problem still not resolved then your device need to be serviced (Repair).

Rating the solution is highly appreciated...Good Luck.

Hi i have a samsung s750 but i can't take pictures because the screen is blank so i don't know what i am taking

Hi, I can help you. First, make sure you can see the menu by turning the camera on and pressing the menu button. If you can see the menu, scroll to the right to reach the setup menu.
Then scroll down to Quickview and then scroll right. Then scroll down to 3 sec and hit the Ok button.

That should fix your problem. If I can help you anymore, let me know, and thanks for coming to FixYa. Don't forget to vote my solution a fixya.

Rob

To the person with the camera showing low batteries even when they are new, make sure the battery door is on tight. Over time with use, the door can get loose. If it's loose, it will not make a good connection with the batteries and freeze up. Hope that helps. Let me know with a comment if you need more help. And don't forget to vote!
