Blackberry wont turn on just shows red line through battery

Two weeks ago my blackberry went blank, will not charge up and the only sympbol is a battery with a line through it. I have replaced battery and it still shows the same symbol. I have the same problem, anyone know how to fix?

I just had the same problem, but i had gotten batteries switched and i switched back to other one and it seems to work fine, so make sure you have correct battery and make sure it contacts right!! hope this works!!

I had the same problem. At first I was able to change the battery with another old battery I owned and that worked fine. But then it happened again and changing the battery again would not help. I tried calling T-mobile and they said I needed to bring it in to a T-mobile store for them to see it first hand and for them to try a new battery. The tech at the store was not shocked to see the symbol and contacted T-mobile support who quickly agreed to replace the device at their cost.

Sounds like the display. There is a warranty on the unit. Contact your provider to find out what your service and replacement options are.

just put a piece of paper on the top of the battery (the part where u push it down) it shows the battery with a red line slashed across because its too loose...

it worked for me!

King, many times this happen, don't worry, put your device on charge 2 to 5hours it will solved, if problem persist, change battery, because this sounds me a only battery problem. there is one another way (if you are not sure don't try this) we call that direct charging
first take one charger who has light on head and then cut the charging connector of charger and then you will see two colours of wires separate the black and red wires (red wire is positive line and black is negative line) and then connect to current supply but make sure there wire are separated otherwise it will have a short circuit and then take battery and search + and - connector and then red wire connect on battery positive connector and black on negative connector if you connect properly you will see the charging light are getting dim. that mean it is charging, do direct charge for 10 min and then switch on your device with battery and put in charge normally. this will solve your problem. if my sugetion was helpful please rate it.

Ok...don't panic. The charger you are using is not compatible. Verizon only works with verizon blackberry's. Non verizon will not work with blackberry and vice versa. This is what will happen. you plug it in and it will boot for a few seconds and then the lightning bolt you see is the charge icon and then a red line in it means that charger is not compatable. Blackberry does make its own charger but there is a "pin" on the plug in that will tell it it is not the right one. Am I confusing you?

My blackberry just stopped working on me a few weeks ago it wont turn on or even charge its just dead what do i do ?

someone should help :) because i just had the same issue! (starting yesterday). i went to the tmobile store and had them look at my phone. they tried my battery in someone else's phone and it worked, so it isn't the battery. the red light doesn't come on when it's supposed to be "charging" -- which it's not doing that either. but all the people at tmobile told me was that it's the actual phone.. yet they didn't tell me how to solve the issue or if i could get a new one or what.. all they said was that i was eligible for a 2 year upgrade.

what do i do with my phone and how can i get it to work?! i need the numbers out of it. thanks.

That means no battery, your lucky. Just go to a phone place and try a new battery. I am assuming you already took the battery out and tried reinserting it. Does the battery have red xx's on the bottom, if so it probably fell on grass and the moisture got to the battery some how.

I started having the same problem about 2 weeks ago. Found out that my photo went to my photo album online because whatever was sent was too large for the phone. I went in and went to the recent photos and there it was. Carrier doesn't know either. I also went to the Browser, menu, options and browser configuration and checked the appropriate boxes to allow certain media files.
