That disc maybe the software. Like when I got my camera, mine came with a yellow-and-white kodak disc, which I downloaded onto my computer for my C613 Kodak Easyshare. Try looking at your Manual.
Your best bet it to look on the manufacturers website to find maybe software, drivers etc for your camcorder.
If you can then try googling your camcorder to find software etc else where.

If you have windows, you can use FFMPEG to convert the files into any format you want and then windows either windows movie maker or other software. On my mac, iMovie will automatically recognize the camera and covert the files!
