My VTech 2461 cordless phone is stuck on Pulse

The VTech Support guy wants me to change the switch on the bottem of the base unit from pulse to tone.... Problem, I have no switch on my phone!
This happened years ago, I called tech support and they told me to press two buttons at the same time, but I don't remember which buttons!

Can you help me with this problem?
thanking you in advance

To switch back to tone dialing, hold down the SELECT button for couple of seconds. The display on the base unit will read PU indicating pulse dialing. Now press and hold SELECT to change it to TN (Tone dialing).

Use the link (on this website) to the instruction manual. I glanced at instructions to change it to pulse when I was researching my problem. They probably have instruction on how to undo it as well

There's a TONE/PULSE switch on the bottom of the unit. Switch it to TONE.
If you need one, you can download a copy of the VT2461 manual here.

Switching from pulse to tone dialing (there is no switch on the base unit)

hold the select button down a few seconds until you'll see a 'tn' on the readout. this sets it to tone. hold it down again and it will set back to 'Pu' for pulse. i figured this out by accident. the losers at vtech never answered my question.

VTech 5.8 mhz won't work

I found a solution that fixed this problem (at least for me). On the vtech site they said to unplug the base unit for at least 5 minutes. Previously, I had only unplugged the base unit for a few seconds. This time, I left it unplugged for about 10 minutes or so and when I plugged it back in, everything was working fine. Apparently there is some sort of capacitor that must discharge long enough to completely remove power from the circuitry.

Good luck and I hope this works for you!
