Hitachi CS33EB won't start when hot solution?

My new Hitachi CS33EB starts fine when cold but after about ten minutes of use and shutting down for even two minutes it won't start until totally cooled off. I am at an elevation of 6800 feet. Does this affect the problem?

This sounds very much like a bad ignition unit, if they are going to break down they will do it when they are hot, the only answer here is to replace the unit.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the quick feedback. I'll give that a try."

Loosen the fuel cap just before you shut it down. Close it just prior to restart. If that corrects it, there is a fuel vent problem. HTH

SOURCE: Hitachi CS33EB16 16" Rear Handle

might pay to check the fuel tank breather , make sure its venting

check the ignition coil it may be going open circuit loosing its spark when it getts warm or hot , you have to wait till it cools to re-start

you will need a spark tester fitted in between ht lead and plug to check this visually when its running

check for a kill wire grounding 1st

cheers

Bosch Axxis WTE86300US turns itself off after ten minutes, won't turn back on for a few minutes after that

I would bet you have a bad sensor. There are a couple of sensors that monitor heat. When it gets too hot they shut it down as a safety precaution. Once it is cool enough it will start up again.

Try getting your transmission solenoid replaced. After I got mine replaced it ran fine after that. That's the exact same thing my Lumina was doing.
