The default password for Linksys routers is admin the user is left blank
some routers have slightly different than this user id admin and password also admin the last possibility is user id admin and password is just password

The default login is user = 'admin' and password = 'password' for the router. Only type what is between the quotes. If you changed and forgot your password, there is a reset button on the unit. Press the button until the power light flickers (about 10 seconds). You should now be able to get in using the default login.

Dear Pimtosky, only an administrator is allowed to change / reset the password.
- You can use the system default login because the default login password will be always '0000' (hour zeros without quotes) OR it will be blank (no password).

- I will explain how to go to the default login screen,
- Start the system and when the welcome screen comes (or login screen) press ctrl + alt + Del keys more than one time until you see the classic login small window.
- Now type ' Administrator "' ( without quotes)
- In the password box type ' 0000 ' click enter (If this does not work try the next step below)
- Leave the password box blank (empty) and click enter
Now you will be able to login to your system,
- Now your can change your windows administrator password by going to control panel > User Accounts > change password.

If you are still confused you can use any free 'windows password recovery' software. Download it and follow the 'how to' instructions.

In order to access your WRT120N control panel UNDER FACTORY SETTINGS, you must navigate to http://192.168.1.1 in your web browser.

According to Cisco's support site, the default username for the WRT120N will be NULL (left blank) and the password will be "admin".

Once you reach the control panel, navigate to the 'Administration' section, where you should be able to change your username and password.

NOTE: If this does not work, you may want to look into performing a factory reset of your device.

If you don't have change your password from factory defaults then look into manual for user name and password...
If you have change your password then, Sorry you have to reset your router. this will delete all your configuration but will set your login id and password to factory defaults... ( there is no other way)

I got this info from the online User Manual:

1. go to web address http://192.168.10.1/
2. Enter the User ID. The default factory setting is "admin"
3. Enter the Password. The default factory setting is "motorola"
4. Click Control Panel > Device Security
5. In the Login User ID field, enter your User ID. Create an ID that contains multiple casesensitive characters as well as numbers. It cannot be longer than 64 bytes.
6. In the Login Password field, enter your Login Password. Create a password that contains multiple case-sensitive characters as well as numbers and symbols like “_ + )”.
   It cannot be longer than 64 bytes.
7. Re-enter your Password.
8. Click Apply.
9. Once the settings have been accepted, click Restart and log back into the Configuration Utility using your new User ID and Password.
10. Select Wireless > Basic.
11. Change the SSID to a user-friendly name and click Apply.
12. Navigate to Wireless > Security.
13. Select WPA-PSK from the ESS Authentication options.
14. Select TKIP from Encryption Status options.
15. Click Apply and then click Restart. Your wireless security configuration is now complete.

WEP is easily hacked by hackers. WPA-PSK with TKIP encryption is the newest, most secure wireless security measures and you can follow these directions to set it up this way.

U can login ur ISP u can find. go to browser type your IP address for ex. http://192.152.185.1 and press enter. it ask user and password. u can login ur user id and password of your internet provider. u can find there. default user id and password is admin and admin
