Maytag Washer Stopped Working

My Maytag LAT4400 washer filled with water (level was set between Large and Extra-Large) and then stopped. The lid switch seems to be clicking in and out okay, and power is okay. I tried the dial at other positions but nothing happens. I did another load earlier today with Large setting) with no problems.

I was about to order a new lid switch assembly, but I decided to try one more thing. I disconnected the wires from the check switch and cleaned the connections - there was a layer of oxidation. The machine started right up after I reconnected the wires and plugged it back in.

I have a maytag top loading washer. the washer if set to medium load or large or super large load only fills to the half full level,

My maytag has a rubber tube that goes from the bowl up to the level sensor. I would try removing this tube and blowing it out to make sure that it is clear and not perished.

GE profile washer wont fill all the way with water. Can only wash 2 pants and 2 shirts and its set on extra large load.

A lid switch doesn't regulate water capacity and if the lid switch fails, the machine will not execute a complete wash cycle. If the washer functions but only at partial water fill for the selected load level... then the problem is likely a clogged pressure switch tube or a malfunctioned pressure switch. Got mine used online - fixed the very same issue.

My speed queen washer wont fill all the way up on extra large setting. How can I adjust the water level switch so that it will fill up to the top? My model is Awn542

This is mentioned in the manual-the federal gov't has required manufacturers to set water levels lower to conserve water. You can fill it more by holding the load size level to reset until it has the amount you want.

Maytag Atlantis stopped mid cycle

Bad/worn/broken lid switch look at the back of the lid there is a little lid cam there that hits a switch,if this switch isn't engaging it will do just what you are describing.use a small screw driver to push the button in and see if it starts.

Maytag washer, model: LAT8415AAE top loader. Washer fills with water but will not start agitating, spin or drain.

Check lid switch. Most will not run with lid open and the switch may not be pressed down when door is closed

Maytag Washer Just Stopped After it Filled With Water (Timer?)

Cant rule out the timer but I suspect first check the lid switch. The timer and other components are fed from the lid switch on most models. Just put the2 wires together and reapply power if it works replace the lid switch. If not you'll have to have a wire diagram to know where to check next, but your water level switch "fill switch" could be at fault. it stops the water valve 1 way and can energize the rest of the circuits the other way. It may not be closing in the "full" direction. Again this switch if so wired will have 3 wires on it.

Washer won't agitate, drain or spin

quite possible that the fuse has gone bad again, if that s the case i would recommend replacing the fuse, and the lid switch.

Washer won't stop filling with water

In yor machine control panel you have A part called a pressure switch or water level switch. that controls the water level and tells the timer to start aggitating .If the part is bad the machine will over fill and keep running the water!!
