Hi Siva, The most likely issue with your camcorder is the SD card that you're using. Please remove the SD card and check if it is labeled as a SD HC card, as the Mustek DV5500 is not compatible with these newer revisions. You can try to fix this problem by using a regular SD card (they are all below 4 GB in size and do not have HC written on them).

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.
I found my original instruction booklet for the New Home Knitlock Model 743 743D after being misplaced for many years. It is very old and tatty. I still have the overlocker stored somewhere as I replaced it with a new overlocker. I am hoping to sell the overlocker with instruction booklet when I get round to having the machine serviced. Please let me know if you still need a copy of the manual.
