Scanning from the network

Hi,

I have a network printer - HP LaserJet 3055 and is connected to the network. How can i use it's scanning facility from the network, i.e can i scan from a machine which is connected to the same network as the printer is connected. If so, pl. tell me what should i do?

Dear Friend,

Install the printer driver on your computer and than download fix scan utility from Hp.com. After installing fix scan utility You will be able to scan.

You have to do the same on every computer from where you want to scan.

I have Hp Laser jet 3055 can install only the printer under windows 7, but unable to install the fax facility.Please help.
Then please navigate to www.hp.com, click on support and type the model details e.g HP Laserjet 3055 all in one printer and select your computer operating system type to download the full drive for all your printer facilities.

Yes you can print, fax & scan with HP Laser jet All-in-one through LAN port (wired or wireless). Un-install and re-Install driver and Check "Extended Capabilities" when prompted.

Hi there,
Check the IP of the printer, it should be manually assigned, if you are not confirmed,
  1. Press menu/enter .
  2. Use the or the > button to select Reports , and then press menu/enter .
  3. Use the or the > button to select Config report , and then pressmenu/enter .
  4. The printer exits the menu settings and prints the report.
Try re installing the printer software from the cd, or download the full version from the links below for your area

Does HP LJ 3055 printer scan over the wireless network?
Scan over wireless network is not supported with this printer. You can try set it up and get scanner to work with usb and then change port from usb to HP standard TCP/IP for the device, but I don't think it will work.

How to install Hp laserjet 3055
If the connection is ethernet. Print configuration from Printer.
Manually install printer.
Select computer is on local port
Local port to select is TCP/IP
then type in the network address to the printer.
Driver will still be inside computer.

My hp 3055 is working fine on the network bt problem is "SCAN TO" Button is not being configured with the PCs.It displays all the PC names bt not able to scan. it diplays an error "Unable to Connect".
