Pyramid 903G connection: WHO IS FIRST??? Equalizer or amplifier???

An equalizer and an amplifier are two very different things. The equalizer I have in my car only boosts the power by 12 Watts RMS, but that is not the point of it. I have the amps to power my speakers, and the equalizer for fine tuning the sound. You may want to see how much wattage this equalizer is going to add before you blame it. It may be doing exactly what it is supposed to do.

Dual XR4110 is an integrated radio/USB unit - it has in it an amplifier.
Pyramid 801 is an equalizer with a powerful stereo amplifier in it . If you want to connect it to the Dual you will need to use the preamp outputs on the Dual to its inputs and then connect all the speakers to it (you will no longer use the power connector from the Dual for the speakers). For a proper wiring the speakers will have to be put in series, not in parallel (one pair per side) - if you put it in parallel the resulting impedance will be 2 ohms and the amplifier in the Pyramid will be damaged; this is what is happening now. Make sure to respect the polarity of the speakers or it will sound badly.
