Mine didn't come with a usb cable either. I've been on the internet about every site and can't seem to find one. Mine didn't come with a usb cable either. I've been on the internet about every site and can't seem to find one.

Take it to the nearest computer accesory store (radio shack, and ask them for a cable for it... they are plentiful (my mp3 cord works on my Razor cellphone)

Webcam is actually just a USB connection. Shouldn't need a hardware driver for modern OS. There are generalized apps out there to encode MPEG or AVI, ect. video, but they don't need to be hardware specific. That's where a "standard USB imaging device" driver usually comes in.
Leads are: +5V, Data-, Data+, Ground.
Here's image of a typical pinout to cam ...hope this helps.
You can go to radio shack and purchase an adapter (eithernet to usb) the apapter is a plug and play unit no wires. dont forget the usb extention cable sold separately and make sure you have your cd with the usb drivers handy 'cause you'll need to load 'em up when your computer finds the device. that should do it. hope my info was helpful...
Hi.
I recommend a firmware upgrade. You can obtain this by doing the following:
1) Connect the player to your computer with the USB cable.
2) Wait for "idle" to be displayed on the player screen.
3) Double-click the file that you downloaded from the Rio website.
The update should take approximately 30 seconds to load.
and here is the link for your firmware upgrade file.

Good Luck
? Verify that the USB cable is securely inserted into the USB port on both the Rio Carbon and your computer.
? Connect the USB cable to a USB port on the back of your computer rather than to a USB port on the front of your computer.
? If using a USB hub, connect to a powered USB hub. Unpowered USB hubs may not work.
? Remove USB extension cables from the connection path.
? Disconnect other USB devices.
? Both Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1) (or greater) and Windows Media Player 10 (WMP10) must be installed for your computer to detect a Rio Carbon set in MTP mode.
? If you do not want to install SP1 (or greater) and WMP10 on your computer you should disconnect the Rio Carbon and change the Transfer Mode setting to MSC mode.
Good Luck
