5 disc carousel won't open or respond to any buttons; it just reports an ''ERROR''. There appears to be one CD stuck in it, but not certain.

The disk tray will not open, and after a brief time the word ERROR appears in the display window. Is there some power on button combinations to reset the processor?

The fault is with its disc loading mechanism. Contact any service technician. Disk is not loading properly into the system. A loose loading belt, or a broken gear wheel can be the cause.

When I changed cds, the carosel starting turning and won't stop or respond to any other commands. I turned off, and then back on and it just keeps turning.

It sounds like it's a position sensor issue, either the player is not detecting the cd's in the carousel or it's not detecting which position it's in. Try looking for a sensor and cleaning it with some isopropyl alcohol and a Q-Tip.

A cd has gotten stuck in my Sony 5 cd/dvd carousel player. Appears that the label on the CD had gotten soft (sticky) and when the carousel rotates it stays stuck underneth the top while the carousel moves...

As long as the cd hasn't caused any other damage to the electronics or mechanics of the player, it should be an easy fix. First, open your carousel then unplug the player to avoid shock. Remove the top lid of the player via the screws on the exterior holding it in place. From there, the stuck CD should be right there for you to reach in and remove. Hope this helps!

Onkyo 6 disc cd changer DX-380 has CD stuck under carousel

This has just happened to us. Often when the changer tries to select a CD on random play, it somehow knocks one CD off the carousel, usually on top of the other 5 CDs and then you can retrieve it easily. This time it knocked it down behind the carousel so the drawer could not close. We left the drawer open, carefully took the player out and tipped it upside down and then tipped it forward. We then closed the drawer while it was still upside down and then turned the player back up the right way. The loose CD fell onto the carousel and we could then open it and retrieve the CD. No damage to either CD or changer and we are now listening to music again!

System froze - can not print or set to fax

Does anything at all appear on the control panel?  Is it possible that it tried to print the report and then jammed?  Does it give you the normal beeping error sound at all or just not respond to buttons?

Are you able to do press the number of copies or any other buttons working?
