Frigidaire Wall Oven does not open once hot

From my understanding your broiler feature is not working on your Frigidaire wall oven and the element is good. It could be a potential issue with the thermostat or connector of wall oven. I have the Frigidaire PLEB30S8CCA single wall oven. About 3 months ago the baking element appeared to have gone out. We replaced it, but still didn't work. We ended up sending our control board off to a company named Corecentric. They fixed the problem and returned it to us. The oven has worked perfectly ever since. I searched extensively for a new one, but no one sold them anymore. I found Corecentric on Ebay. They were able to confirm over the phone that it was more than likely a control board issue. It cost about $130. My husband was able to do it himself by taking a couple before px and using them when reassembling it.

If your oven still uses a pilot light, it also probably has a thermocouple positioned in the pilot's flame path to detect whether if is safe to turn on the main burner. When the thermocouple fails, the oven thinks the pilot light is not lit and will not let gas flow to the primary burners. The part isn't costly (should be <$20 US) but replacing it may require some expensive labor.

The ignitor is weak and needs to be replaced. You can not tell by looking at it. You have to measure the amp draw through the ignitor.

If the element only works partially or not getting red hot at the "Hi" setting, the problem might be with a burned out receptacle that the element plugs into. If this is the case, replace both the element and the receptacle.

You can usually tell when the element itself burns out. It might have small holes or bubbles on the coil. Replace the element, if found defective.

but the hot surface igniter for oven is bad
it should have a seperate one for broiler
