Belkin wireless G notebook network card problem

After installing the drivers and clicking on the desktop icon, the Belkin box comes up for a split second but then disappears. What gives? I've uninstalled and re-installed several times. I'm using Windows ME. Help Please!

As soon as I get the prompt to insert the Wireless Notebook card into the slot now (and I do), and click OK, I get a message saying the InstallShield Wizard has successfully installed the Wireless Config utility and to clisk finish to exit the wizard. I can choose Yes to restart or No, I will restart later.

Once it reboots, I get a message asking me to choose my country. When I do, I get a message saying Country Channel will active after reboot PC. This process continues after rebooting. Any suggestions?

I have a wireless internet card on my laptop, its a Belkin card. My internet connection was working great a couple days ago but now I can't even get the belkin program to come up on my computer so that I...

Go into Network connections in control panel and right click on the wireless network icon, then click on properties. In here change the settings so that Windows manages your wirless settings rather than the Belkin software, I find this normally works a lot better and more reliable. You should then be able to double click the wireless icon (Not the Belkin Icon) in the bottom corner of your screen and connect to your wireless network.

Cant get Wireless card to connect to netopia wireless router

There are some things you might try.

The Belkin card will come with third party software you can disable this utility by right clicking on the icon in the Taskbar and choosing "Use Windows Zero Configuration".

Then you will need to go into Control Panel >> Administrative Tools >> Services >> Wireless Zero Configuration >> Right click and check that the service is starting automatically >> click on Start >> Apply - that should then detect your wireless network and the internet.

Belkin Wireless notebook network card question

From another user on Fixya..

"you may have another wireless connection other than your own set as automatic, or more than one connection in your settings of the same name, so right click on your network icon in your task bar or in network connections in device manager and select view all wireless connections, click on it and when all the connections show, highlght, delete all of them, then close the window.

Your notebook should now indicate that it found new wireless connections, click on the popup and select your connection name and click connect, at this point you will be asked to enter the passkey if you have security enabled."

give it a try, might help. Rgds,
