Welcome to Fixya,

The Armitron WR165 is a digital watch that includes a 24-hour alarm, hourly chime, stopwatch feature, countdown timer and is water resistant up to 165 feet. With a rubber wristband and rugged style, the watch is meant for outdoor enthusiasts and athletes. The WR165 can be found online, in some sporting supply stores and in certain department or general home stores. Setting the Armitron WR165 only takes a few steps to perform properly.

1 - Push the top button on the left-hand side of the watch until the seconds flash on the display.Press the top button on the right-hand side to zero the seconds.

2 - Push the bottom button on the left-hand side of the watch until the hours flash and then the top button on the right-hand side of the watch to increase the hour on the watch display. Note that "PM" will appear on the watch display for PM times, but there is no "AM" indicator on the display.

3 - Press the bottom button on the left-hand side of the watch until the minutes flash on the display.Press the top button on the right-hand side of the watch to increase the minutes on the display.

4 - Repeat to set the month, date and weekday on the watch. Press the top button on the left-hand side of the watch to return to time mode.

5 - Press the bottom button on the left-hand side of the watch to enter the stopwatch mode. Press the top button on the right-hand side of the watch to start the timer. Press one more time to stop timing. Press the top button on the left-hand side of the watch to reset the stopwatch to zero and the bottom button on the left-hand side of the watch to return to time mode.

6 - Press the bottom button on the left-hand side of the watch twice to set the alarm. Press the top button on the left-hand side of the watch until the hours flash on the display. Press the bottom button on the left-hand side of the watch until the alarm number flashes. Press the top button on the right-hand side of the watch to choose Alarm Time 1 or Alarm Time 2. Push the bottom button on the left-hand side of the watch again until the hours flash. Push the top button on the right-hand side of the watch to choose the alarm hour, followed by the bottom button on the left-hand side of the watch to change to minutes. Press the top button on the right-hand side of the watch to advance the alarm minutes. Press the top button on the left-hand side of the watch to set the alarm time and the bottom button on the left-hand side of the watch to return to time mode.

Under the settings, limits, the limits on the max HR stop @ 100. I want to increase the setting on max hr but it stops @ 100 and then returns to 18. help [polar F4]

Go into settings.

Press the center button on the right hand side of the watch 1 time you will see settings watch time & date appear in the display.

Press the bottom button on the right side of the watch1 time to get into the TRAINING SETTINGS FUNCTION.

When you see TRAINING SETTINGS in the display press the center button on the right side of the watch once.

You are in TRAINING SETTING mode.

Press the bottm button on the right hand side of the watch 3 times until you see
ZONE LIMITS displayed.

When you see ZONE LIMITS displayed press the center button on the right side of the watch 1 time to enter into the ZONE LIMITS FUNCTION.

Now, you should see the lower end heart rate limit number blinking.

To adjust this number use the top button on the right hand side of the watch to increase this limit or lower button on the right hand side to decrese it.

When you have it set where you want it press the center button 1 time to save that setting.

Now you should see the upper limit number blinking.

Follow the same steps to set the upper heart rate limit.

When you have pressed the ceter button to set the upper limit you have completed setting the heart rates limits and the display should read: LIMITS SET!

How do you replace the batteries on a Rotary Revelation watch?

Take your watch to your nearest watch shop and ask them to do it for you.

You can get into difficulty replacing batteries and it is not worth the risk for the small cost saving.

My Tag Heuer chronograph will not reset to zero.

Try the following, which I discovered by accident on my Tag Professional. Pull the crown out to the first position, and then you may find that successive pushes of the upper pushbutton will move one of the chrono hands by one division, and the lower pushbutton will move a different chrono hand. Similarly if you pull the crown out to the second position, the pushbuttons will control the other chrono hands. In this way you can set each of the chrono hands to their zero positions. Hope this works for you. Geoff

Casio prt-10 and i broke the display. where i can buy lcd?

http://www.casio.com/support/buyparts/

You're probably going to have to replace the complete guts. Lots of these digital watches have the little buttons on the sides of the case. Those buttons press small springs which makes contact with the button on the "movement". Be careful that the little springs aren't lost when you remove the movement. It's not hard to do, you just need the right parts. A small phillips screwdrive and a sharp probe makes things easier.
In some cases, you will need to force the stainless steel back past the rubber wrist band. These watches are nearly indestructible, so you can apply some force. Just don't apply it to the guts of the watch.

How dp you alter the time of the hands

  1. Press the Bottom Left side button until you reach time keeping mode.
  2. Press the Bottom Left side button 6 times to reach hand setting mode.
  3. Hold down the Top Left side button until the digital time starts to flash.
  4. Press the Bottom Right side button to advance the analog time by 20 seconds; Holding the button down will advance the time faster. Pressing both of the Right side buttons will lock the time into advancing quickly without holding buttons down; this will continue until you press a button or the clock advances 12 hours.
  5. Press the Top Left side button to exit the settings screen.
  6. Press the Bottom Left side button to return to timekeeping mode.

Runs Fast

Usually when a watch with a mechanical movement is running fast its is because the adjustment on the hairspring is advanced to far. Since it wasn't running fast to begin with I can assume its because something was knocked loose. It is possible that a tiny drop of oil was on the hairspring and by knocking the watch two coils are stuck together by the oil. (this usually only happens if it has been over oiled by an amature watch repairer) Magnitization is possible but pretty unlikely, unless you play with Big coils of wire that are carrying a LOT of current. Either way, unless you know what you're doing and have the right tools, you are looking at taking it to a Tag repair center. Since a simple tune up can cost about $250, I'd expect to pay $400 to $500 for that one. Welcome to the wonderful world of high end watches.
