I have my headphones on with the transmitter plugged into my computer. It works for approximately 15 minutes before the transmitter stops transmitting a signal, the green light (on/off) goes blank and all i hear is a loud static sound.
I had the same problem when I plugged it into a new HDTV. The problem was that the sound on the TV was set too low. The transmitter has a feature that automatically turns off when the signal is off or too low. Try turning up the TV volume to a high/higher level and it should solve your problem. Using the headphone jack with the white input allows you to use the headphones while bypassing the TV speakers.
Unfortunately these headphones have a “feature” that shuts them off after a set amount of time has passed. If no audio signal is detected.. after x number of minutes.. off they go.
A great feature for extending battery life.. a poor feature when using with sources that often have long pauses between signal output.. like using with a PC.. Often when listening to music while working on a document.. the music ends.. and a long pause ensues.. and the headphones turn off.
You need to turn them on and off again when you are sure an active audio signal is being sent to the base unit.
There is no workaround..
Since your problem doesn’t state they quit working during listening.. the above answer is all I have for now.
Other obvious things to check.. batteries.. and connections.. especially the connection on the base unit.
Best of luck
I can't believe anyone would design a pair of headphones with an "automatic switch off" without giving the option to turn the "automatic switch off" off.
I am thinking about contacting the company if I cannot get a workaround... my wife bought two pairs of these headphones as a birthday gift to me to help me study, and the delay is an absolute nightmare... I basically have gotten that ringing in my ear about 4 times when the loud static comes on... It is insane.

Hi,
If you're using a mac, I've made an instructable on how to make this a little more bearable..
http://www.instructables.com/id/Wireless-Headphones-3-minute-transmitter-cut-off-f/
I'm sure there is a way of doing it for a pc using a batch file or something but I'm not too up on my pc programming anymore..
Hope it helps..
Rob.

Identical problem. Is there a solution?
Same problem but only about 10 minutes. Unplugging from the sound source solves it each time, but only for a few minutes.
same as above: works fine for 10-15 minutes then loud static.
I have same problem but only when sound is not very loud... if I put more volume its fine... Annoing think
Sennhieser headphones rs110 series. Headphones work great however for no apparent reason the transmitter will power off for anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes. When it comes back on it may stay on for several hours and then simply turn itself off. When it does come back on it will stay on for 5 minutes to several hours or only 5 to 10 minutes. Any ideas from anyone would be greatly appreciated since when the trans unit goes off the static is ear shattering.
After reading this response and another that said check the connection of the transmitter (I had tried everything else - connections, volume) I unplugged the base signal cable and simply plugged it back in AND IT WORKED. No explanation why it happened in the first place - I have no kids, no pets, I went to bed one night and it was working - turned everything on the next day and the headphones weren't working. NOW THEY WORK. Base connection wasn't loose - I jus unplugged it and plugged it in again. GOOD LUCK!!! Joe
