We have a sharp MX 6200 printer.
When printing a black print on heavy paper black horizontal lines start to appear after a while. We have tried othe black jobs and colour the problem only arises with this particular job set at A4 heavy paper 1 or 2 from any tray. If you run another job the problem will clear for a while but always returns.
Any advice appreciated

Check for scratches on the drum surface. If you have ran a lot of copies on there, its a good time to get it serviced. It could be the cleaning blade on the drum as well.

What color is the line? This is usually caused by either dirty primaries or drum units. Laser units or dirt on them can cause the same issue. On the door of the copier is an instrument to clean your laser cover. Make sure you consult the manual on how to do this. If it is even possible to do it incorrectly you could cause incredible expense in repair costs. The manual for this copier can be found very easily especially on sharp's website. The only way to clean the primaries is to take the drum unit apart. Should be done by technician.
