Thats a very common problem with that model which is the V26 chassis. You can get the V26 Chassis DLP DM ? Power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which has the replacement caps known to fail on the DM and Power boards. The kit also has the CD with step by step repair instructions.

SOURCE: green power light will not stop flashing and tv will not turn on or off

You need to replace the 1000uf capacitors on the DM board thats the classic symptom of the DM caps being bad the light continues to blink repeatedly. If you need more info on the repair let me know.

I have a 2003 mitsubishi WS-55711. While watching TV the other day it just shut off. When I pressed the power button, the green light turned on for approximately 3 secs, then shuts off. I've attempted to simply unplug it for a period of time in hopes that it would possibly reset. However, the same thing happens. Is this a problem I can fix on my own or does a professional need to fix it? If I do have a pro fix it, what is the likelyhood that it will happen again? Should I just invest in a new TV? Thanks

Timer light blinking and tv won't turn on

Not much info to go off of, and the video is a bit blurry. Try unplugging the tv for a minute or two, make sure to leave it unplugged to allow power to dissipate. Then try again. Otherwise I would suspect power supply problem.

I shut the tv off last night and now it won't turn

If total dead (no lights on blinking etc) follow power cord into the set and find and check the main fuse--in this set it usually is a glass 5 amp fuse.

I have a 2003 sony kp51ws500 television and there's a timer on the tv and it won't turn on. A red light blinks 6 times then nothing happens. I unplugged, I hit the reset button, nothing happen

read the instruction manual and see how to operate.
if the timer is for to sleep, the problem will be the IC associates with him, you must see the block diagram and w.diagram. and tracking the signal.
go to www. retrevo.com and download the diagram. God bless you

I returned from vacation last night and noticed all four of my coach lights were off. I thought...the timer needs to be reprogrammed due to a power outage while I was away. The red indicator light was...

1) You performed correct troubleshoot steps down the line.
Last thing would be to install defect timer on another light circuit in house, and see if problem is the timer or wire going to coach lights.

2) EJ351C has 1 year limited warranty.
Buy new EJ351c and install single pole light switch until timer replacement is available.
Timer has easy 2-wire installation. Turn off power. Connect new timer just like old one was connected. Either timer black wire connects to either wire in switch box.

Tv shutting off timer light blinking

The problem you describe is not really related to a timer function being set. The unit is in shutdown and the light is blinkng to let you know there is a problem.
There are several possible causes. the most common is a failure in the vertical deflection circuit due to a bad vertical IC and possibly a capacitor, zener diode and resistor.

The power supply or sweep power supply blew up, or the Horizontal/high voltage circuit went bad. If you have no tV repair experience, call in a pro to assist you in this repair. Good Luck
