Error Code C2840

F2 code means a problem with toner cartridge error. Sometimes F2 is caused by loss or broken harness in the scanning section, in this case, it sometimes displays an E7 code. When f2 flashes on display just press the Start key you will receive a subcode. If the subcode is F2-02 this is a toner supply problem. If the F2-04 toner chip is damaged, replace the chip. If the F2-40 developer is damaged, change the developer

• Clean toner cartridge CRUM chip contacts and check if cartridge destination is proper for your area.
• This code you may have to clean out the developing unit and start with a fresh developer. Make sure the developer unit is not leaking from one of the bearings. You may need a tech for this one.
• Replace the toner cartridge.
• Change the developer.

If you find your parts, then replace the parts and error still remains, after automatically reset the error code. If the error is still showing even after the above solutions, then you have no choice other than calling Sharp service technician.

check Transfer belt cleaner and idc windows open properly.

developer sensor on the magenta developer unit is bad, or the developer need to be replace or the whole developer unit need to be replaced. switch out with different color see if code moves

Has the developer been replaced along with the drum They are normally replaced as one. If not that is why it is coding out. If not with power off then on have tech come out and replace the developer and drum mite require the sensor in the developer cartridge mite be bad.

Have you replaced the developer??? Did you clear the developer counter??? Before you remove old developer. Did you run the required Developer Charge after new developer was installed???

the bizhub 222 typically does not not throw this error code this is an error code is for one of the older konicas and is a toner density error code check developer/ developer unit
if this is a bizhub 222 the toner density error code would be c2557

Replace the developer, then run the TCR adjustment before replacing the developer clear the counter, for the developer, Machine runs on them if you replaced the developer all ready then the copier thinks it is old and can code out. ALWAYS clear the counter first then install the developer then run the TCR adjust

the e020 code is there is a problem with one the developers. as to the exact issue i can't say for sure as i don't have he books. but

-00xx = black developer
-01xx= magenta developer
-02xx= yellow developer
-03xx= cyan developer

so when you see the sub code you will at least know which developer you are having the issue with

C170-Toner sensor/Developer Error
check usual suspects Sensor, Wiring, Developer material, connectors.......

It's hard to be sure because our model numbers are different but drum reset should be 24-7 and dev reset should be 24-6. Good luck
