SC471 is a Transfer Belt HP error. The transfer belt does not lift in the rear. The rear cam (G060 3894) slips past its locking tab on the square stepped shaft and slips off the side.
The fix: reposition the rear transfer belt lift cam to lock the tab into the square shaft. Secure the locking tab with a tie wrap.
Now this is the solution if you know what you are doing on this printer. I can not even begin to tell you in this forum how to dis-assemble the printer to get the transfer belt unit out and effect this repair. IKON is pretty pricy on labor. I would see if there is an independant guy locally that can do it. Inexpensive repair that I would charge $90 or less for. If you HAVE to call IKON then just make sure they do not try to tell you that you have to replace the transfer belt unit. This repair is all that is needed 90% of the time.

That is a transfer belt lift up error. The transfer belt lifts up for color and goes down for black only prints. Open right side door and check for paper stuck in the area near black rubber roller. Sometimes the belt dosen;t lift correctly. Open front door and turn knob on upper left counterclock wise to lower black transfer roller. On brown cover remove the top left screw and bottom right one (need to look on bottom side of cover) Slilde transfer unit out then back in. It is also possible the sensor inside machine is dirty.

Step 1: Click Start --> Printer and Faxes --> Add a printer.

Step 2: While wizard appear, click next and tick on A network printer or a printer attached to another computer. Click next.

Step 3: On the specify printer options, tick Connect to a printer to the Internet or on a home or office network. Specify your printer destination. Example: http://192.168.110.120/

when the printer shows cartridge error that means. 1)the cartridges r either faulty .it can be 1 out of 2 cartridges or may be both the cartridges faulty.if this is the case replace the cartridges. 2)it could also be the case that cartridge is not fitted properly if this the case remove the cartridge and reinsert them properly. 3)it could also happen if there is dirt on the printer and cartridge circuit.if this is the caee remove the cartridges and clean both the printer and cartridge circuit.and then reinsert and check.

This is transfer belt home position sensor error.Clean the belt and the sensor.
