Kitchen has 6 Halo lights on the one dimmer and worked fine for years. All of a sudden two of the lights no loner work. Replaced the bulbs with new ones, even trying swapping current working ones. Also replaced one of the Halo fixtures and still doesn't work. Could the Lutron dimmer have gone bad causing two to not work?

This dimmer was not made to dim a load smaller than 40VA. That halogen bulb would only have been 20VA or so.

I think that when your bulb burnt out, the dimmer over-volted the transformer and smoked it. That said, I think you have a fixture problem and, possibly, a switch problem, too.

The short blew the Lutron. Replace it.

The dimmer is worn out
Wall switches and dimmers don't come apart for repairs >> nobody sells parts >> and the wiring didn't suddenly go bad.

You should have just two wires plus a ground hooked up to the dimmer. It should install just like the maestro. If you are getting no lights with a double tap, or tap and hold, and if the led is not on, it is one of several things. Most are basic, but will list anyway. Check that your connections are good. Make sure you have power there. Make sure the bulbs are good. If all is fine, you probably have a defective dimmer if it worked prior to this. To test, take the dimmer out, restore power, and carefully touch one insulated wire to the other one. If the light comes on, it is the dimmer at fault.

Replaced the Lutron dimmer and that did not fix the problem. Thinking it might have something to do with the fixtures, possibly if they are installed in series?
Changed both light fixtures and dimmer and now works...
