Inbuilt webcam for dell vastro 1400

Hi Mamadi Amadou,

Dell Latitude 2110 has an inbuilt webcam which is automatically activated. Please explain more about the issue then I can check and see what can be done.

Once you have solved the problem that sets it in "safe mode", you can reboot the computer into normal mode.

Look in the Control Panel.
Pick device manager and look for a yellow balloon, which will show why it is still in safe mode.

go in to your start menu and do a search for your webcam, or download a webcam app online.

-this issue will happen if you are having overheating problem in the computer, there are 3 possible problem Processor, video card or the chip set for the motherboard it self, try cleaning your air vent or filters, may be the fan inside is not working any more..

your hard drive has failed and is not being recognized, it is possibe to try a format and re installation of operating system but all data will be lost

Just try locate the battery, remove it for 20s and fix it back agian. Then try and see..

Is the Web cam driver properly installed?

If no, go to windows start button, point to computer, right click computer, clice manage, click device manager.

If you see an exclamation point or X mark sign you need to re-install the driver for your webcam. If you have a cd-installer, just put the cd on the dvd rom drive then run it. If you dont have an installer cd you can download the driver from the Dell site.

Sometimes the webcam start procedure can be found under the keyboard heading

this isn't a webcam, it's an ambient light sensor, I'm afraid. Just to make sure: assuming that you're running a Windows-system, please open the device manager and have a look at "Audio, Video..." whether there is an entry regarding a webcam. I'm pretty sure, there isn't one... Greetings from Germany,
