SOURCE: I have a humminbird 190c.

Hi, if it worked on another boat, either the new transducer is faulty or you may have bent a pin in the back of the sounder when you reinstalled it in your boat. Check the pins, if it still won't work retry in the other boat. If ok return your new transducer for replacement. Hope this helps regards Phil.

Why does my screen loose depth return as soon as I am in 150 mts of water?.How come in shallower water I get a very good image but past 150 mts the screen is just scrambled and there's no bottom retur

Be sure you have your unit set in "max mode" and run it on 200khz frequency see if this makes any difference. Also be sure your unit is wired directly to your battery not through a switch or fuse panel as this can rob your unit of voltage, impacting the strength of your sonar signal.

I just bought a used boat with a Humminbird 160 fish finder on it but, the only thing that shows up on the screen is the temperature, NO DEPTH and NO FISH, is there a setting i need to set as i am clueless...

Check to make sure the transducer is hooked up correctly, and check the actual transducer for signs of damage. Transducers are fragile, and a good whack can break the crystal inside. For more troubleshooting, here is a helpful link with the Owners Manual for your Humminbird.

If it was purchased new, you should be able to get a replacement under warranty. If not, here is a link to the owners manual to troubleshoot it. Check for any frayed sections of the cable around the transducer or damage/cracks on the transducer itself.

My depth finder loses its depth reading at about

You need to set the transducer lower. When at speed, the hull of the ship raises up out of the water and hence your transducer is probably not deep enough at these times to give a proper reading.
