You will need a 10 -3 wire hook up the red and black to fuse netral and ground to the ground should work

First, I'm not a Coleman Tech.
* First check the generator for a wire(s) output description. This will confirm what each wire is producing and where it should be connected to.
* The specs will also give you an idea of what to expect from a particular generator. (Don't expect 220Volts from a 120 Volt small generator.. Hence the 120 VAC generator will only have 3 wires instead of 4 wires for a 220-240 Volt generator. DC/AC generator will have 5-6 wires.)
* In general, on/off switch on the electrical part of the generator (the actual electric source) is on once the engine is up and running. Electricity is being produced at this time. The on/off switch is usually the main electrical breaker that is rated for the full output of the generator. This is very similar to your house breakers except for a modification of the hook up terminals used to wire in this safety component. Like most breakers there is an input(s) then output(s). Usually the input lines will be black, white, with an additional green wire that is also connected to the frame of the generator. These three wires will hook up to one side of the breaker or the "Line In" side or "L1,L2" The other side of the breaker should have been hooked up directly to the 1 or 2 duplex (120VAC) outlet panel.
* on larger generators that produce 120/240 VAC 1PH (two 120 volt AC outputs with alternative 220-240 volt AC) There will be an additional wire that may be the same or different color IE; 2 Blacks, Reds, or Blues. This is hooked up in similar fashion to the breaker except there will be an additional section to the breaker or even two single breakers stuck together with a bar across both switches. (again similar to a 220 VAC breaker used in a house panel.) The extra wire will go to the 2nd section of the breaker. The other side or "output" of the breaker will be wired directly to a set of Duplex outlets (a pair or 4 outlets) AND a 4 pronged 120/240 1PH outlet "Twist Lock" style. (though you may find specialized outlets for single purpose generators.)
* Larger generators may also have a DC (12 or 24 VDC) wire which is of a different color from the AC wires. Expect it to be Black, Red, or White. (Black or white is probably the negative with the Red as positive.) If you do have DC wires then it's more than likely the AC wires are of different colors to avoid getting the DC mixed up with the AC side.
* Final; check your warranty. Have your vendor or MFR perform a service and annual maintenance check which is a good idea as they can change out your air and fuel filters. Check and clean the spark plug. Make sure everything is working properly. The peace of mind is worth it.

The auto manufacturers make their wiring harnesses in batches generally for all models. Then they hook up only the features that are installed in a particular model. This saves the labor in making different harnesses for each model.
In DC auto wiring, the black is generally the ground wire whereas it is it is the "hot" wire in AC wiring. Blue wires are generally control wires. So it seems that you do not have any voltage nor control for your sensor. Before you hook up anything, with a volt ohm meter check to see if you have 12 volts on your black wire. You more than likely do unless your fuse is blown. Replace the fuse. Then try hooking up the black wire to the appropriate terminal on your sensor and checking it out. If it works OK then hook up the blue wire to its appropriate terminal on the sensor. It should now work properly with control. If it doesn't work when you hook up the black wire and you have a good fuse,, then you probably have a defective sensor. Replace the sensor.

You have 220Volts (same as 240V), then that circuit does not need a neutral.
All household single phase voltage requires two wires to complete the circuit.
With 120V, you have 1 hot wire and 1 neutral wire.
With 240, you have 2 hot wires, and these hot wires are called 'out of phase' since each comes from separate side of breaker box.
Notice that your 220V 10-2 wire goes back to a double breaker. This double breaker snaps over two different busbars. The breaker pulls 2 out of phase 120Volt lines, and when testing voltage across those two out of phase 120V wires, you get 240V potential.
The ground wire is redundant safety in both 120 or 240 Volt circuits, and is not necessary for either 120 or 240 to operate.

Purchased "Reliance Lowboy electric water heater"

The water heater has two 4500 watt elements.
However both elements are not turned-ON at same time
So the water heater is 4500 Watts

Volts x Amps = watts
Amps =watts divided by volts
Amps = 4500 Watts divided by 240 Volts
Amps= 18.75

So that says a 20 amp breaker ... except for the 80% rule
80% rules says for safety, your Amp rating should be multiplied by 80%

20 amp breaker X 80% = 16 amps
20 amp breaker is actually safe for just 16 amps, and your water heater draws 18.75 amps.

The calculation shows you need a 30 Amp breaker.
30 Amp breaker requires 10 gauge wire.

Stereo help

Make sure the red wire on the unit is hooked up to power. The blue antenna wire is hooked up (or to the factory amplifier) and the yellow wire on the radio is hooked up to a key on power supply. If it works and you lose the memory when you shut the key off, switch the red and yellow wire power supplies.

if its a single phase panel you will only have 120/240 v.a.c. you can wire it for 240 volts and it will heat faster anyway the only way you could have 208 volts would be if you had 3 phase delta or open delta 3 phase or buy a special "dry-type" transformer for 240 volt to 208 volt step-down,otherwise it will be red-& black will be your 2 hot phases of 120 volts each/white-neutral/and green or green-yellow will be the case safety ground
