you are going to need a pump seal kit or they may call it a rebuild kit but this sort of thing happens often and you should not have any trouble getting the parts you need with the kit should come a exploded view diagram but request one just to make sure be careful when putting it back together if gyou damage any of the brass or neoprene parts you will be putting it together for nothing lay out your parts on a clean towel keep all dirt and grime away and clean your pump housing really good before you put the new parts in and i mean clean enough to eat off of if you do all of these things your rebuild will probably last longer the the original good luck and get back with me if you need help with the rebuild

SOURCE: Karcher G 3000 BH Engine Pumping Problem

This may not be a motor problem. It sounds like your pump is not working properly and the motor is just following the pump. First thing to do is check for leaks in the pump, wand hose, gun etc. It may also be a blown water seal inside the pump.

stands for long fill and occurs when the water level does not change for a period of time after the valves are turned on.

All washers are designed to operate with a water supply pressure of 20-100 PSI. When the pressure drops below 20 PSI the washer can have the following problems:

Slow Fill- low water pressure reduces the speed at which water flows into the machine.

Verify the pressure at all other water sources in the house (i.e. sinks, showers, etc..). If you find other places where the pressure is low, the problem is not with the machine but with the water supply.

Continuous Fill- The valve may not fully seat under 20 PSI which would allow for a constant flow even when the machine is not supposed to be filling.

Contact the water company to verify the pressure being supplied to the house.

dispenser- Needs a minimum amount of pressure to function. May dispense constantly, at the wrong time, or not at all.

A plumber may need to be consulted if the pressure is found to be too low.

Things you can check

:

Are the Hot and Cold water faucets turned on

Are the water hoses kinked

Make sure all the hose are straight and able to flow water

Are the screen inside the water valve plugged

Inlet valve should be free of debris and rust.

Turn off water and remove the inlet hoses from washer.

Remove any accumulated film or particles.

Assure rubber washers are in the end of each inlet hose.

Reinstall hoses, turn on water and check for leaks.

Error codes can be caused by a Power Surge or other electrical anomaly, attempt to return the washer to operation by following the Hard Reset procedure below.

Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off for 30 seconds.

Reconnect the unit to the power source by turning the breaker back on or plugging the unit back into the wall outlet.

Press the Pause/Cancel/Stop button twice to clear the display.

Start a short cycle to check the operation of the machine by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button until the machine starts by Manage My Life September 2nd, 2009

Is the pump seal bad when doesn't spray /pump well?

The sign of bad seals are water leaking out of the bottom of the pump. The high pressure seals get bad enough the low pressure oil seals will fail as well and water will get into the crankcase.
Weak or fluctuating pressure is a sign of a problem with your check valves or seal problems with your unloader valve.

What is a bypass unloader

According to epowerwash.com:
"The unloader valve diverts water flow into bypass when the trigger gun valve is closed. Unloaders may be designed to respond to either an increase in pressure or a change in flow. The unloader valve may also be used for variable pressure adjustment."

There is a valve installed to release water out of the system if water temp. rises to a level that may damage the pump. Water temp will rise when motor is running and you are not spraying water. This part is called a thermal valve. It can begin to leak water if worn out or debris under seat, however may not effect a lower pressure at the wand unless it leaks more water when you are spraying than when in bypass. You can see various thermal valves by searching on ebay with the key words :
"pressure washer thermal valve". Pressure is created at the tip of the wand. If the nozzle at the wand is worn or too large for the system, pressure will be reduced. You can check if the tip is correct by using a different tip that came with your system or using new of correct gpm as noted on the specs. of your system. Good luck

I bought a honda pressure washer power boss 3000. I load the gasoline, start the machine, but pressure water is not coming out from the trigger. i tried so many things , but can t get started.

If you are using a water tank for water supply, remove the water supply line from the pressure washer and connect a water hose from a faucet. Turn the water on, then crank the engine. Pull the trigger of the spray gun until water comes out. When then water starts to spray properly the release the trigger, shut engine down with pressure on the line then reconnect the water supply from the tank to the pressure washer. If this fixes the problem then the problem was "air-locked"! Happens alot with new pressure washers that have never been run. Pressure washer - My water blaster does not speed up

I was mistaken in my thinking about how the pressure washer works. There is a by-pass valve that takes the load off the engine when you stop spraying. The engine actually runs at a constant RMP. When the spray is on, the by-pass valve closes and this increases the load on the engine. This is what I had been hearing as a "speeding-up" of the engine and was no longer hearing. Anyway, I took the un-loader apart and blew it out with some compressed air. It works fine now.
