Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card. The e250 works with microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.

Try taking out the battery and putting it back it.
It should work.

Reset the player, then get the Sansa Recovery Tool from Sandisk's website

Do a Firmware upgrade first - http://www.sandisk.com/sansa/#/support-0/
Enter Sansa e200 series

use windows media player in sync mode at top of screen

Make a copy of one of the files, and try changing the extension to .mp3.

your player might be locked. if it is then go to the side of the player and find a button called hold and flick it the other way.

Go To The Sandisk Or Sansa Site And Download A FirmWire And Re-Install The Software In Recovey Mode
