No picture hi power went out at my house this am, tv was on power returned turned tv back on and no picture, there was sound but that's it, we also have Direct TV when used tv remote to try and fix we got Picture in picture in small box help thank you

As long as you can see and here the picture with no problems you should be fine. The tv's put it heat which make things expand and contract. Sometimes things creek and crack. I've had two tv's that do that. Don't hesitate to keep a fire extinguisher handy though along with some alarms.(houses should have these at all times anyways)

Change your inputs switch until picture returns.

No picture/no sound condition could be caused by either a faulty power supply or main board. Proper electronic troubleshooting will need to be done to verify. If the set is under any kind of warranty, return it ASAP

Most of the times, the power suppply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors.These capacitors alway bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get ur tv power stable,and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole rerfurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I am not sure what type of set you have, but if it is a newer one,then it should have a separate power switch on the back. I would try shutting it down for a few minutes and powering back up. It almost sounds like the tuner has gone. Are you getting any colors? or just gray snow?If you can see the menu at all, I would also try reset to factory defaults... good luck

Does it make a squeal sound while plugged in to power? If so, possible horizontal output shorted. $150-$200 about.

if there is a stanby switch for the remote, turn it off. wait for a few minutes then turn it on. operate the remote.

Modern sets dont like power surges which is what happens when supply goes on & off.

I would think that something is damaged it will be expensive to repair.
My advice would be get A shop to check it for you If you can ask them to see if this problem in there opinion is due to power surge.
If you have house hold insurance new for old make A claim.
