Motorola RAZRv3xx text message inbox, want newest at head of list
The inbox used to open showing the most recent messages at the top of the list. Now it opens with the oldest messages at the top (I can scroll to the newest but it was easier the other way and my brain is used to seeing the new ones on the top of the list instead of the bottom... and why would I want it to open the old messages first?)... I've tried all the options I can find in the phone and nothing returns it to the original and most useful order, I want the newest messages at the top of the list when I open the inbox.

When you look at messages, exit and come back, the screen will be exactly where you left. The device doesn't reset to the top. Just use the T for top and B for bottom buttons.
There is no real setting for the blackberry to show old messages first. I am assuming that when you are showing your messages, you may be at the bottom of the list. Try using the above to be at the top of the messages list.
Go to Menu--message--inbox--open up the message which u want to delete n then press the option button---u will see Erase/Delete as an option then click OK.Again press OK if asks for confirmation. That's how u empty your inbox.
If u want to delete all the inbox messages then for that also you have an option in the inbox.
Just don't forget to press the "Option" button if u have to see the function.
Access menu>messages>(Now from this screen you should see your Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, Saved, Etc. Check to see if you are given 'Options').
This should allow you to delete all text messages in each category. If you are not given an 'Options' feature then access your Inbox and from your Inbox use your 'Options' feature to delete all clutter.
Hi,
first press menu, select messages, then press menu button again, scroll down to cleanup messages, select, then scroll down to which box you want to delete and select. done!
you must insert the message center number in the message settings(setup)....
to get the message center number follow the steps below...
1. call to your network provider customer care 2. ask them for the message center number 3. note down the message center number 4. insert that message center number in the message settings and save it... one this completes it will not ask you for the setup while sending messages or when you open the inbox..
any doubts reply me.. i am always here to assist you thank you bye.... Dnt forget to rate the solution........
I would definitely reset the phone, unless you can find a way to clear the text messages out before it crashes to the Main Menu. My guess is that you have a corrupted text message in your inbox, and it is crashing the software.
Resetting the phone will wipe out all of the data on it, so make sure you back it up first. If you have the Motorola Phone Tools, you may also want to try accessing the text messages or updating the phone software through it first.
The call listing only shows one caller by design, to help with clutter on the list. It's a little funky, but if you think about scrolling through pages of the same caller just to find that number to the pizza place again, it makes sense.
If you open Messaging, you can access the settings in the menu there to increase (or set to never delete) text message life.
