Our Samsung refrig RB215LASH, which we bought used, leaks water under the veggie crispers (refrig part is on top & freezer is on bottom) - the water then freezes in part. What could be wrong? How can we fix it?
When water is leaking inside of your refrigerator, the problem could be as simple as condensation from humidity or a worn gasket, especially since you purchased your refrigerator used. The problem could also be a clogged drain or frozen evaporator.

the ice maker is a common fault on those appliances expensive to replace but quite easly done with regard to the leak eithr the drainage tray is blocked or one of the water feed hose is disconnected or leaking call an engineer

Just saw your post, If you still want help let me know. I have the service manual. Thanks, Sea Breeze
SOURCE: there is water pooling inside the vegetable
Your refrigerator has a defrost drain blockage behind the evaporator in your your fresh food compartment. Some models like yours have 2 evaporators. I recommend that you unplug and remove the cover to the evaporator and check the defrost condensate tray below the evaporator. A wet vacuum cleaner and poring a solution in the drain will help you locate the leak and where. I do have the manual on yours and can help you solve this. Let me know, Sea Breeze
SOURCE: Freezer & freezer work fine.
It may have auto-defrost or frost-free feature that is not operating. Also there is a drain tube that goes from the compartments to the bottom of the fridge where the evaporator pan is. The tube may be plugged.

I would not be too alarmed about this. Most refrigeration systems will
drip water off of the condenser coils while in use. This can most often
be seen by cars that appear to "leak" only when the a/c is on. All that
this "leakage"is is condensation. This is the same reason that window air conditioners need to have a slight downward tilt to the outside. This is also why they unfortunately, often freeze up.
If you're only noticing leakage while the refrigerator is running then I would bet even money
that this is what's happening especially if the refrigerator is still
staying cold. Most normally this condensation is caught in a drip pan
which lets the water evaporate. However, during periods of extended
use, especially with periods of high humidity i.e. the summer,
sometimes the condensation is higher than what the drip pan can hold
and you get leakage over the sides.
Unfortunately while this
is a relatively minor problem about the only way you are going to
eliminate this is to install a dehumidifier in your home, or simply
tolerate it for a month or so during the summer. I would bet dollars to
peso's that after mid august this won't be a problem.
One
thing to note however, is that if you start to see that it is running
constantly, or if you notice that it's not keeping cool, then it may be
time to call in a service person. But for your particular problem I
don't think that will be necessary.
Actually a pretty common concern... second time in two hours I've seen it. :D

It is not a side by side. Water is not leaking on the floor underneath the fridge. Instead, water is leaking underneath the veggie bins, which are located under fridge, which is on top of freezer.
The house is climate controlled by air conditioning now. Gasket doesn't appear to be worn. We can't see a drain so don't know if clogged or not. How can you tell if evaporator is frozen or not and where is it located?
