Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

On the Symbol Spectrum24 AP-3021 and what looks like all of the Spectrum24 AP models. There is not a reset button. We only have the RS-232 serial port to work with.
Start with the power off.
Short pin 2 and pin 3 together.
Plug in the power.
Wait 15 secs.
After the two network lights become solid.
Remove whatever you used to short pins 2 and 3.
(make sure to only jumper pins 2 and 3 - if you ground against the outer shield it will not work)
Cycle the power on the unit.
The password is Symbol and it is case sensitive.

all you need is a phone cord (that you dont want to use anymore) just ground the number 4 and 6 wire together and leave the rest alone. plug it in the canopy and then power it on. It should then be at the default ip. I think its 169.254.1.1 or 192.168.100.1.

If there is no tiny push button on the outside of the box then the only way to reset it is loging into it.
If you can find the ipddress range of the non-working vlan that the AP is in you can change your computer ip address to one in that range and then access the router with it's ipaddress.
Once you get in you can use these steps to reset it:
a. Click the Wireless Controller button to open the Wireless Controller
b. In the navigation pane, click System Maintenance.
c. Click the Reset database to factory default and reboot button.
d. Click the Apply button.
This will reset the database and cause the controller to reboot.

Once reset right click on the connection in the task bar ( icon with two computers) click status, click properties, scroll down and select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click properties, click use the following IP address:, and add the following:
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.50
Click OK, OK, and Close, Now Enter 192.168.0.50 in internet explorer and it will work. You can now change all the settings you wish to.
Hope this Helps
