Color Registration Error - BCU Received no Feedback from LD

Printer suddenly stopped printing black ink clearly so I changed the cartridge (even though the printer didn't tell me that it was low or empty). After changing the cartridge, a color registration error appeared. I cannot get it to go away. I have taken the toner cart. out and back in, took the developer out and back in, turned it off and back on. I have also gone thru the menu choices of "adjusting" the color registration and it didn't do anything. The red light is on and it still prints black the same way. I notice other people have this issue too. one of them stated the manual says "BCU received no Feedback from LD"... hopefully that means something to you. Please help!

error 1203's error name is print head short which indicates a short circuit in the print head has occurred. solution to this problem is to disconnect and then reconnect the printer power cable. Reinstall the ink cartridges. For more information, see Replacing Ink Cartridges.

  • Store the cartridges in an air-tight container, such as the storage unit you received with your photo cartridge, or dispose of them properly.

  • If you are installing new ink cartridges, remove the sticker and transparent tape from the back and bottom of each ink cartridge.
NOTE: The following illustration shows a black cartridge and a color cartridge (used for normal printing). For photo printing, use a photo cartridge and a color cartridge.

Insert the new ink cartridges. Make sure the black or photo ink cartridge is secure in the left ink cartridge carrier, and the color ink cartridge is secure in the right ink cartridge carrier.

Hp 6150 won't print clearly --new cartridges are in

Clean the print head if you suspect that the nozzles might be clogged. Cleaning the print head consumes ink, so perform print head cleaning only when necessary.

    Hope this initial info/idea helps.

Canon mx 310 alarm color cartridge empty

Go to the printer driver (control panel -> Printer -> Right Click your Printer -> Properties). From there go to maintenance tab, Ink Cartridges, Select Black only. Then click OK. Finally hold the Stop/ Reset button for 10 secs or so. It will then work after a couple of warnings.

Color ink cartridge out. Won't let me print in black only?

Do this, press and hold the "Stop" button on the printer for 10 seconds that should clear the fault set by the empty ink cartridge.

Not printing after color cartridge ran out - new black cartridge installed.

Yes, this printer has fixed printheads and must have ink in each color to prevent damage to the printheads. Even when printing black only each color is spit in the servicing area to keep the printhead unclogged.

    When the motor speed is
    within the target level, the
    motor sends a lock signal

    the BCU.
    SC380 is detected under the
    following conditions:
    • The Lock signal stays High
    2 seconds after the motor
    turns on.
    • The Lock signal stays Low 2
    seconds after the motor
    turns off.
    • The Lock signal stays High

PRINT IN BLACK WITH COLOR CARTRIDGE?

Yes, you can print out in black from a color cartridge, however it is not advised as you will run out of colored ink twice as fast as it combines all the colors to get black. However it works great when your in a pinch and need black ink.
Just go to your printer properties when you print and the option will be in there someware.
