Focusing Yukon NVMT 20040WP Monocular

My product doesn't focus well. I can only focus on objects that are very close-by. My last night vision monocular was able to focus great distances and even focused on the stars. This one is disappointing. Is it a technical problem or just the limitations of the equipment?

It should focus normally from some 50ft up. Try to adjust the dioptery on the rear ocular.

I curently have a ELF 1 optics monocular with IR built in. I have used the unit on several occasions but when I tried to use the unit this last time I cannot get the unit to power up at all. I have changed...

Does the IR light up? Also, is there a switch to turn on the IR. Don't look in the IR lens use a mirror or in darkness put you hand in front of IR lens. stewbison

Can not focus. The lens moves fine from one end to the other but I'm unable to see clear images with or IR while in a dark room.

Don't IR illuminator in the dark room. Turn on a small light in one of the corner; such as, a small light bulb. increase ambient light a little at a time until you can focus. You flooding the dark room with IR illumination which will reflect everywhere in there. This might take care of the fuzziness in the monocular. stewbison

What kind of batteries do i use and where do the batteries go?

Hello David. David you night vision doesn't use any batteries that one installs. You have Kalinka Zenit NV monocular that is Russian manufactured but is sold by Night Vision Optics. Your night vision uses a piezo electric ignitor to charges the batteries and charge a couple capacitors.

The lever on top to the Zenit monocular is activated by squeezing the handle that is covered in a rubber type material. Just keep squeezing on the lever and in while things will start working. Best of Luck David. GB...stewbison

The yukon NVMT 4 was turned ON and then flashed. Cover was on. Now the ON lights, IR Light works but visor is all grey and appear small lighting on bottom corner.

The scope may flicker or flash when used in a bright environment. To fix this you should only use a NVMT in a dark. It will restore itself in a few minutes or hours, depending on how long it has been exposed to light.
It may also flicker for the first several seconds of use in dark, before the device corrects itself.
With a severe exposure to bright light for prolonged time the light enhancing unit may damage beyond repair.

Monocular has poor focus picture barely clear

Weak battery (below 2V). Lens cover on. Focus off (it can be adjusted). Too bright environment.
Without handling the scope myself these are the best guesses.

Yukon spartan my pic is not clear light works but cannot get focu

Define 'clear'.
Is it blurry? Focus the scope or clean the lenses.
Is it distorted? Don't know how to fix. Especially if the lens is cracked/scratched etc.
Is it dark/snowy? Put fresh batteries in.
Do you see black spots in the tube? Don't worry, certain amount of these are quite acceptable.
Anyway: It's a night vision for pete's sake. The picture won't ever be like the one on normal binoculars.

YUKON NVMT 3 ( 4X 50 )

'it does not have objective lens'?! Yes, it could be the reason why you cannot see anything. Your NVMT should have a lens in both ends. It's just a regular telescope with some extra features.

Yukon night vision monolular 4x50 lense

Try to jank it left-right and simultaneously try to force it back to threads (either pulling or pushing). Don't hit it with anything since this may damage the insides.
