Try changing the input device to something you are sure, works such as a DVD player. Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours. If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.
Yes, dear. The torch light is same as a flashlight. We call that way in our country, India. The reason for mentioning safe distance to keep away static charge near the TV when you handle the flashlight.
Can someone please tell me or show me a picture of a backlight and tell me where it is located on the 32" HDTV-Ready LCD please? I've taken the back off my TV.

Unfortunately it did not fix the problem. =0( According to the TV repairman, It would be better to buy a new one rather than fix it. I have to say that I am Uber disappointed! I've only had it for a couple of years now and LOVED it. It was such a great TV. The picture was crisp and the sound was clear. However, for this reason alone, I would be nervous to purchase another one of you products. Can you restore my confidence in your company? It truly was a great product while it lasted. Unfortunately it didn't last very long =0(

Ok, just some of these: (1) Since you have mentioned picture disappeared, I assume the sound is ok. If the TV works and you are only not able to see the picture, show a torch light on the screen from a safe distance. If you can see the picture, the backlight of the TV is not getting on and it is a simple problem any good TV technician can fix.
The sound is fine. Now, pardon my ignorance (lol) but is a torch light the same as a flashlight? I'm picturing flames as you mentioned "a safe distance".

Good morning. To start off, I hope you know that I meant no disrespect. I really wasn't sure what you meant by torch light. Thank you for clarifying that.
I tried your suggestion but I did not see any picture =0( Is there anything else you can do? I'm really upset to have lost a great TV! =0(
I just got a "notification" that there was a new message for me but I didn't see one. Did you post anything?
