What is the difference between an air mattress and a sleeping pad?

an air mattress is a portablsing a air compressor that run on very low power or hook up to a battery. Air mattress ate most effecent when you plan on sleeping in a camp site or trailer. A sleeping pad is very light weight, folds up real tight and easy and doesn't take up a ton of space. Most back country hikers and ouydoors men would prefer a pad over a air mattress, but they both have their pros and cons.

Sleeping pads are commonly smaller than air mattresses and come in both inflatable and foam models. Most sleeping pads are made for one person, while air mattresses are constructed to mimic traditional beds.

What product removes mildew odor from a memory foam pad for a sleeping bag?

You can look up standard remedies for washing out mildew, and you can phone Big Agnes, but I would not be happy about sleeping on it in any case, and recommend replacement. Tough choice because it is not cheap, but I am never sure how thoroughly mildew (mold) can be cleaned and you don't want to breathe it.

Are there different types of sleeping pads or a standard generic mat?

There are two varieties of sleeping pads: foam and inflatable. Foam pads are less expensive, lightweight and durable. On the downside, they are more bulky when rolled up for storage. Inflatable mattresses are considered to be a step-up from sleeping pads.

I sleep with a fitter sheet but for some reason my air mattress is always wet in the morning. Why?

It's because your air mattress, unlike a regular mattress, is made with completely, airtight, non-breathable material. So instead of absorbing moisture, you sweat remains on the top of the mattress.
