Fire hazard, but when backpacking in snow or rain I have on occasion used my stove inside my tent to boil water or cook something, very carefully, but that is far from grilling in a tent, which I wouldn't do !

Absolutely not, the smoke from a grill will damage the fabric of the tent. All grills must be far enough away from the tent so that no smoke is allowed to enter the tent. The tent is made of very flammable fabrics so there is a great risk of causing a fire while grilling under a tent, just put the grill outside it will be more pleasant to stay inside not smoky tent.

Heat disperser (tent) on Brinkmann Patio Grill 810-4010-0 needs replacing.

This is the link to your grill on the Brinkmann Website:
http://www.brinkmann.net/products/details.aspx?item=810-4010-0

This is the link for the manual:

It's usually easier to find parts by the part number rather than the description, because you might call it something other than what the manufacturer calls it. There aren't many parts available as far as I can see.

Can I use a grill under my tent?

In a word, no.

If your grill uses flame/fire, it produces carbon monoxide (CO). This is an odourless, colourless gas that will, given enough time, kill you.

Cook outside, for your own safety.

What's a footprint tarp?

It is a tarp that fits exactly under the footprint of your tent, but is an inch or two smaller. If you have a 10' x 10' tent, your tarp would be about 9'10" x 9'10". If you have a triangle-shaped tent, your tarp would be triangle-shaped.

It is smaller than the tent so rain (etc) does not dribble down the tent wall, land on the tarp, and pool under the tent.

Do the weber gas grills use lava rock?.

Short answer ...No. They use a flame tamer or flavorizer (the tent like things over top of the burners. Lava rock, would cause uneven heating.

Are porcelin flavor plates removable? If so, how?

If you're referring to Powder-Coated Porcelain Cast Iron Adjustable Grates. Yes, they are removable. They just lift off the grill. As do the tent shaped Flame Tamer/Flavorizer plates under the grill grates and above each burner. They should be removed regularly for cleaning.

Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling!

Screws fastening "tent" are corroded

Just had the same problem... I sprayed some WD-40 on both sides to loosen it, then used a damaged screw remover to pull it out. On one side, the head snapped off and I had to use the smallest-size extractor to directly pull out the shank, but it worked.

BTW, you don't happen to have the instruction manual, do you??
