Football, also known as soccer in some countries, is a sport played by two teams of 11 players each, with the objective of scoring more goals than the opposing team. The game is played on a rectangular field with a goal at either end. Here are the basic rules of football:

  1. The game starts with a kick-off: The game starts with a coin toss to determine which team will take the kick-off. The team that wins the coin toss gets to choose which end of the field they will defend, and the other team takes the kick-off.
  2. The ball is in play: The ball is in play as soon as it is kicked and moves forward. Players can pass, dribble, or shoot the ball to try to score a goal.
  3. Offside rule: A player is in an offside position if he or she is closer to the opposing team's goal than both the ball and the second-to-last defender when the ball is passed to him or her. A player in an offside position can only play the ball if a teammate touches the ball first or if the opposing team plays the ball.
  4. Fouls and penalties: If a player commits a foul, such as pushing, tripping, or holding an opponent, the opposing team is awarded a free kick or a penalty kick, depending on the severity of the foul.
  5. Yellow and red cards: A referee can show a yellow card to a player for unsportsmanlike behavior or a red card for a serious foul. A player who receives a red card is sent off the field and cannot be replaced by a substitute.
  6. Throw-ins: When the ball goes out of play on the sidelines, the opposing team is awarded a throw-in. The player taking the throw-in must throw the ball from behind his or her head and keep both feet on the ground.
  7. Goal kicks and corner kicks: When the ball goes out of play on the end lines, the defending team is awarded a goal kick, and when the ball goes out of play over the end line by the attacking team, the defending team is awarded a corner kick.
These are just some of the basic rules of football. The game can be more complex, and the rules may differ depending on the level of play and the specific league or tournament.

They explain the basic rules of foosball in a very didactic way. It's great.

There are 3 basic rules:

  1. - Tables come with 9 balls, so you play best out of 9 (first to 5)
  2. - If a ball goes into the goal, it's a point (no matter who hits it in)
  3. - No spinning the rods!

What's the difference between traditional foosball (table) players and modern foosball players?

Traditional foosball balls are cheap balls that came about during the 1970's. Today, they are found in low quality foosball tables. The annoying thing about them is the inset lines that make the balls constantly roll even when the table is leveled.

What are some of the basic rules in foosball?

Basic foosball rules include: - First one to serve is determined by a coin toss. - First team to reach 5 goals wins. - Players cannot spin the rods. - The team that gets scored on gets to serve following the goal. - If the ball gets off the table, the team that last scored gets the ball. - Players can have the ball at one place for a maximum of 15 seconds. - If there's a "dead ball", last team that scored gets the ball. - Timeouts can be called only during ball possession.

What's better standard foosball table into an adjustable one?

My advice is to buy an adjustable foosball table because the regular one stays at the same height level and can't be changed in case it's too high or too low making the foosball experience not very comfortable.
