I videoed my 3 year old sons christmas play this morning the volume was not present on the video in trying to fix this problem I accidentally deleted the video it was 14 minutes and 32 seconds long I thought I saved it to the SD Card however the lady in the camera shop said there were no videos stored on the card is ther e anty way I can retrieve this footage as I was the only one out of 16 people who has a camera at the play today!
You may get software to try and look for the deleted files (if they were actually written to the SD in the first place) the data in files are usually not deleted until something write over the data. its only marked as free space.
but if it is lost. dont be upset. you will end up with many many hours of videos and pictures of your child :) one single lost xmas video will mean nothing in the long run

It sounds like you need to update your codec. Try playing the file with VLC player. That requires no codecs to use. If it will not play within that program, then it probably shouldn't be played lol.

Sometimes it will work if both cameras are identical models but usually, this practice will eventually cause problems and even corrupt a card. I would advise each camera have its own card....no more sharing.
