Make sure needle is not bent and fully inserted or replace needle to eliminate. Try cleaning bobbin area, see page 38 in manual.

You need to use something like a zig-zag foot that has a wide opening for the needle. If the needle is still hitting the presser foot, then your machine may need adjustment or you can try a twin needle where the needles are closer together (twin needles are available with varying distances between needles).

Sounds like you purchased and wish to use a twin needle which comes as two needles on a single needle shaft, correct? That is terrific and you have a wonderful machine.
Remove the needle in the machine just the same as you have been over the past 2 years. Unscrew the needle clamp screw, pull down on the needle or part of the needle in the machine and insert the new twin needle shaft into the needle bar. Tighten the needle clamp screw and thread the needles using two sources of thread on the top.
If the existing needle post is not coming out of the needle clamp easily, use a pair of pliers to grip and pull down. Cover the sewing surface to ensure that it will not be damaged as the pliers free the needle. If the needle is firmly embeded, you may need to give the pliers a gentle tap with a small hammer.
If using a zig zag stitch make sure that the width does not exceed the twin needle limit; otherwise as the needles swing from side to side they can hit the stitch plate and brake.

You don't. You need to purchase a twin needle; it has one shaft, and two needles attached.

Twin needle assemblies have to be purchased! When you buy one, you will see that it has ONE needle shaft that goes into the needle clamp, and two needles attached to that. Take a look at the drawing that is next to the top button over the needle shaft area, and it has a rough picture of a twin needle. In other words, it's a TYPE of needle, like a ball point needle, leather needle, jeans needle, etc.

Look in your attachments for the secondary spool pin. Then you'll thread both upper threads as normal.

An E8 error means that a stitch was selected after the twin-needle setting has been selected. Cancel the twin-needle setting and then select a stitch. Then if you are using a twin-needle setting, adjust the machine for the twin-needle setting.

I think Janome Mylock 134 has 2 separate needles. They are #11 or #14 for sergers and secured by 2 independent setscrews. I saw on ebay the instruction book with the owner's handbook for Janome Mylock 134D.

If you want the bottom of the T to look like RTW with the double row of stitching, you cannot do this on a serger.

You can achieve the effect by using a twin needle, two spools of thread, bobbin and a straight stitch.

Make sure the double/twin needle will pass through the presser foot and opening in the needle plate below the presser foot.

Practice on a double layer of a scrap of the T shirt material as the tension may need to be slightly looser than the normal setting.
